Privacy & Respect

We’re online shoppers, too! So we take your privacy quite seriously. As a social enterprise prioritizing positive impact over all else, we take great pride in our work and the ethical way we operate.

Like most businesses, we market our products through multiple channels. Unlike many, we never misrepresent what we offer or what we do. We don’t purchase lists, send spam email, or share your information.

Our commitment to you and our partners is to treat everyone as we would like to be treated – with honesty, integrity and respect.

It's Your Data

In 2018, the EU enacted the General Data Protection Regulation which establishes a minimum standard of data protection across the European Union. As a B-Corp certified organization, we adhere to the same principles. This means the protection of your fundamental rights and freedoms in the processing of your personal data.

Prosperity Candle never discloses or shares emails and personal data with other organizations, and all credit card information is securely processed by our e-commerce provider. We do not hold on to this information ourselves, unless requested to do so by a customer, in which case we adhere to the data protection policies, procedures, controls and security measures of GDPR compliance.

Analytics & Advertising

Like most online sellers, we use Google Analytics which helps us better understand who is visiting. Google Analytics, Google Analytics Advertising Features, and various remarketing tools collect traffic data via Google advertising cookies and identifiers, including the pages people view. If you do not wish to receive this type of advertising from us (or anyone else), you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on, or do so in Google Ad Settings.

As we’re sure you’re aware, browsing any website may result in cookies placed on your computer or device, along with the use of web beacons such as pixel tags so that marketing people can tailor content more relevant to you online and in apps such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. The usage data collected may include information such as IP address, browser type, browser version, pages you visit, time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data. The truth is we don’t really understand how all that works, but you can block cookies and opt out if ever it bothers you.

Our Images

With regards to our own content, we know people copy our images (and even our designs, which is not cool!), but we ask people to not use our content for commercial purposes except by permission – which we nearly always grant. So don’t be shy… just give us a call.
